ChinaVisaFreeTransit.com is a free tool that helps travellers assess eligibility for China's 240-hour Transit Without Visa (TWOV) programme. We are committed to being transparent about how the site works and what, if anything, happens to information you enter.
Information you enter into the tool
The eligibility checker asks for your nationality, travel route, and flight details. This information is processed entirely in your browser. It is never transmitted to our servers, stored in any database, or shared with third parties. When you close or refresh the page, the data is gone.
We do not require you to create an account, provide an email address, or submit any personal information to use the tool.
Cookies and analytics
We may use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns — for example, which pages are visited and from which countries. If enabled, Google Analytics collects anonymised data such as browser type, approximate location (country/city level), and pages visited. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics.
Google AdSense, if active on the site, may set cookies on your device to serve relevant advertisements. These cookies are controlled by Google, not by us. You can manage or opt out of interest-based advertising through Google's Ad Settings.

This site contains affiliate links to Trip.com. If you click one of these links and make a booking, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. Trip.com may set its own cookies when you follow these links; their use of data is governed by Trip.com's Privacy Policy.
Affiliate relationships have no influence on the eligibility assessment results produced by this tool.
Third-party services
The site uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy practices:
- Google Fonts — loads typefaces from Google's servers. Google may log the request.
- Globe.gl — a JavaScript library loaded from CDN to render the route map visualisation. No personal data is sent.
- Google AdSense — may serve ads and set cookies (see Cookies section above).
- Trip.com — affiliate links only; data is handled by Trip.com when you visit their site.
Data retention
We do not store any personal data on our servers. Any data collected by third-party services (Google Analytics, Google AdSense) is subject to their respective retention policies.

This site is not directed at children under the age of 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
